Is evolution correct, and has man evolved from apes?

Is material evolution a nessesary progress for the spirit to fully express itself?

I would love to hear your views on evolution, whether it is correct and what the reason behind it is.

If the evolution theory that humans turn to apes, according to your knowledge, than why are apes not turning to humans these days? Evolution theory is totally different. According to your karma, you can evolve from the lowest life forms and reach to the human level. The Evolution Concept is very vast and complex, and so it cannot be fully explained in a few lines.
The soul has not materialistic needs. The spiritual journey is backwards, away from materialism.

I am very confused about this subject and how it works from a spiritual point of view.
I have two questions:

1. Why have so many animal species died out and how will new ones come in existence? (if theory of evolution is false)

2. What kind of body or place did the soul have before inhabiting the body of the lowest life form..?

Karma determines the different body the soul will have when it takes a birth on this planet or elsewhere.

Although certain species have died out on this planet, the same species can be born elsewhere on another planet.
