In another post you said,

"There are a handful of living enlightened masters on this earth, but they are countless in number within the universe. In higher states of consciousness, you can communicate with them. Most masters choose to remain anonymous, but help the world in different ways."

Does this mean that I can ask for guidance from a master on a different plane of consciousness, or plane of vibrational existence (such as a Buddha), for lack of better words? Or is it better to seek guidance from an enlightened master that exists here on this physical plane? Does speaking with you via this forum qualify?

You can communicate only with living enlightened masters. If you reach that state of higher consciousness through sadhana, you can have glimpses of their realization; however, the liberated masters cannot be communicated with.
